Blue Boy claims in Esmeralda County, Nevada were worked in the early 1900’s and later in the 1940’s. This mine is currently owned by friends of mine and the material is rare and very hard to obtain. It the current time I have 5 pieces and have not been able to get anymore rough.This Variscite is colorful, ranging from solid emerald green to striking multi-color spiderweb patterns to pure black. The Son and I do all the cutting work we never farm it out. We are Native American gem cutters, we are registered members of the federally recognized Native American tribe Wichita Indians out of Oklahoma.
To be clear “100% NATURAL” it is all turquoise no backing was used If it just says “NATURAL” it is natural and backed with JB Weld.
