Apache is a small mine outside of Austin, Nevada. Apache mine produces some of Nevada's best and most unusual Variscite. Although Apache has been known as turquoise for a number of years it should really be called variscite or variquoise. The material produced is hard, of a green color and known for it's beautiful webbing. The Son and I do all the cutting work we never farm it out. We are Native American gem cutters, we are registered members of the federally recognized Native American tribe Wichita Indians out of Oklahoma.
To be clear “100% NATURAL” it is all turquoise no backing was used If it just says “NATURAL” it is natural and backed with JB Weld.
