Bamboo Mountain Turquoise is mined in China close to the famous Yungai Turquoise Mine (Cloud Mountain). This material is very colorful comes in blues or greens, sometimes both, with a black or brown matrix to provide some of the most beautiful Web patterns of any material I have cut. I find that to buy direct from the case the company representative that travels form mine to mine give me the best price and the bonus of PROVENANCE. Provenance for those that are new to the business simply says my Turquoise can be tracked back to the mine and there is NO guess work as to where the material came from. Provenance is important because it adds value to the stone. The Son and I do all the cutting work we never farm it out. We are Native American gem cutters, we are registered members of the federally recognized Native American tribe Wichita Indians out of Oklahoma.
